Get to know Kelly:

What do you love about your neighborhood? I live in a small, quiet neighborhood with my husband, Dave and Great Dane, Jane.  We love being conveniently close to shops and restaurants and we like getting to know our neighbors.  Being the social butterfly she is, Jane spends quite a bit of time at the park, which is right around the corner!  We can usually be found in the evening riding our bikes to a number of great local restaurants.

What do you love about Colorado? Although I’m a Native, I never realized what it was like to truly love where I was living until I moved to Vail.  Locals like to say that you come for Winter Vail and stay for Summer Vail and it’s true!  As someone who could work around the clock, it was a great balance for me to be surrounded by people who work to live rather than live to work.

What do you love about selling real estate? I love watching neighborhoods change and transform over time and being able to advise my clients about up and coming neighborhoods.  Over 15 years in the real estate business, it has become evident that neighborhoods evolve and change due primarily to who is moving in!

What is your favorite up and coming neighborhood? I’m keeping a close eye on the Union Station development in downtown Denver.  There are quite a few variables and only time will tell how it will look about 5 years from now.  I also have my eye on the neighborhoods surrounding the old Westminster Mall.  Word on the street is that a new Belmar-like shopping area is in the works.

DAVE NELSON, Senior REO Broker and 5280 Magazine 5 Star Real Estate Professional

Dave’s career in real estate has chronicled more than a decade. Known as a true real estate professional, Dave is experienced in all aspects of residential real estate.     Dave has successfully assisted buyers, sellers, and investors and has worked closely with Fortune 500 financial institutions in minimizing the loss associated with default and foreclosure.  During his tenure, Dave has sold over $150 million dollars in residential real estate.

Dave has a strong work ethic, professional integrity, and commitment to stay one step ahead of his client's needs.  He prides himself on being an industry expert who thrives on the technology and creative resources.  This level of dedication can be evidenced by the number of returning clients and referrals that drive his success.

Dave lives in Capitol Hill, which is the heart of the Denver metro area, allowing him to keep his finger on the pulse of "classic" Denver neighborhoods and up and coming hotspots that have built our rich urban culture.

When taking time off, Dave enjoys skiing, Bronco games, golf, and road biking, as well spending time with his daughter and wife.

Dave on Dave: "Helping others achieve thier goals through home ownership is what keeps me passionate about my work.  I look forward to hearing more about what your goals and interests are for your next purchase, whether it is your first house or an investment property, and putting together a plan to ensure your satisfaction."

COREY LAMOTHE,  REO Broker- Eagle County and Mountain Communities

Corey's knowledge of the Colorado Mountain communities is unsurpassed, not only due to her years in the real estate industry, but because of her genuine love of the area.  Corey works with Metrowest's REO team listing bank-owned assets in the hard-hit mountain communities.

Get to Know Corey:

What neighborhood do you live in and why?  I live in Eagle Vail, a residential community situated on the Eagle Vail Golf Course, between the world famous ski resorts of Vail and Beaver Creek.  I have been living in the Vail Valley for the past 10 years and absolutely love it up here.  Some of the things that I love about where I live include that I have a 18 hole golf course in my back yard and hiking and biking trails just steps from my front door.  I am strategically located between the two resorts as well as Old Historic Minturn/Redcliff and the bustling town of Edwards.  I have a passion for the outdoors and living where I do makes it possible to enjoy all of my favorite outdoor activities.

What is your favorite coffee shop/hidden gem in your neighborhood?  Well, unfortunately in Vail we do not have many coffee shops or hidden gems.  But, I try my very best to always support our local shops.  You can find me at Loaded Joe's in Avon a few times a week and at the Bookworm in Edwards often times.  I also enjoy going down to Eagle to Yeti's.  Rumor has it they will be opening a new store in Vail.  If they do you will find me there as well!

What is a Colorado destination you would love to visit but have never been? That's a tough one.  I have been very fortunate to have traveled all over the state, especially in the winter's, chasing snow.  But, I can say that I would love to see Telluride and the San Juan Mountains in the summertime.

What do you love about selling real estate?  I love watching my clients evolve throughout the transaction.  By that I mean I enjoy showing property to buyers and watching them evolve in what it is they want/need.  I also really enjoy showing so many unique homes and sharing my knowledge of the Valley.  We have a very limited supply of homes up here and each has its own character and charm.

 JODI THORSEN, Associate Broker

As a Colorado Real Estate veteran, Jodi brings years of experience, passion and professionalism to her clients.  Jodi is known for aggressively seeking results for her clients and her energy and knack for thinking outside the box to find solutons can be seen in each deal she produces.

Jodi on Jodi:

"I've lived in Colorado over 30 years, which gives my buying and selling clients some real advantages. When I’m working to help buyers find a new home and neighborhood, I have a vast knowledge of most of the Denver Metro Area neighborhoods, and have in fact lived in many.

I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I completed my BS in Journalism/Advertising, as well as a minor in Business/Marketing. My education and career experiences have led to strong communication skills, and effective negotiating and marketing abilities.

My personal experience in the real estate industry began in 1998 when I was hired as the Director of Operations for a local mortgage company. I went on to do many of the same duties for a custom home builder.  It was then that I knew I had a passion for the real estate industry. I became a licensed real estate agent in 2003 and have since steadily grown a group of satisfied buyers and sellers.  My client base has included, but has not been limited to, investors, for whom I located and analyzed “fix and flip” or rental investment properties. Personally I have completed over 20 renovations and have co-developed a number of new-build homes as well.

I bring to the table a vast knowledge of the Denver Metro Area neighborhoods, a background in a number of real estate industry aspects and hands-on renovating and new building experience. I have good ethics and moral character, and enjoy making the home buying or selling process enjoyable for my clients as well."

CHERI MONDRAGON, Associate Broker

A native Coloradan, Cheri excels at working with first time homebuyers and works hard to ensure that her client's every need is met.  Her personable nature puts her clients at ease and her knowledge of the Denver Metro area is a true asset!

Get to Know Cheri:

What neighborhood do you live in and why? My husband and our 3 boys live in Southwest Littleton. We love our neighborhood becasue it's family friendly with lots of kids for our sons to play with. We are close to shopping and have easy access to the mountains and downtown Denver.

If your career had a theme song, what would it be? Those who know me, know I am an Elvis freak. So, picking an Elvis song, I would say "I Did It My Way."

If you were to blog about one non-real estate related topic, what would it be? I would blog about being a mom and having 3 boys. I'd write about day to day situations, tips and suggestions on raising children. It is the toughest and most important job that I will ever have.

What do you love about selling real estate? So the cliche goes…I love helping people!  It is such a special time when someone buys a home and I am honored to be a part of it. I enjoy seeing how the market changes. I love looking at homes. I love all aspects from remodeling to new builds. My days are usually a lot of fun!
