US News and World Report recently released its annual Best Places to Live rankings, and you can find four out of the five top cities right here in Colorado.

Boulder took the number 1 spot, while Denver came in second. Colorado Springs ranked #4 and Fort Collins came in at #5. Austin, Texas snagged the #3 spot.

How rankings were calculated:
U.S. News analyzed the 150 most populous metro areas and ranked them on multiple factors, including job market, housing affordability, quality of life, desirability and net migration ratings. In addition to public surveys, data was drawn from the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the Bureau of Labor Statistics and U.S. News' own internal resources.

Boulder:
7.8 Overall Score | 8.3 Quality of Life | 6.3 Value

Denver:
7.4 Overall Score | 7.0 Quality of Life | 6.6 Value

Colorado Springs:
7.4 Overall Score | 6.9 Quality of Life | 6.5 Value

Fort Collins:

7.4 Overall Score | 7.6 Quality of Life | 6.0 Value
